This question was the big bang of a passionate story about a quality product that has positioned itself in the heart of the world market over the past decades and continues to grow ambitiously.

In 1985, Paul J. Agner, a trained aeroplane engineer from Switzerland, officially founded his own company to produce wooden parts. However, it was not until 1987, when Paul J. Agner entered into a sales partnership with several wholesalers, that the production of drumsticks became the main focus of his activities. With this cooperation, Paul J. Agner built on a solid foundation. It was the path to a successful future.

In 1987, the next major milestone was set in the Hotel Postillon in Buochs (Switzerland) with the first product presentation and thus the step to the public. The first endorsers also attended this historic event. With Walter Kaiser, Salvatore Celi, Rene Gubelmann, and Prof. S. Schmid (Professor at the Basel University of Music), top-class and professional musicians were enthusiastic about Paul J. Agner's new drumsticks right from the beginning. Following this event, Jojo Mayer was introduced as a new endorser to the Agner family, which boosted the international activities of AGNER DRUMSTICKS.

The Agner family grew more extensive and richer in musical talent from year to year. These family members still give us feedback on quality and market position and represent our products worldwide. More than ever, these relationships with our customers and endorsers have gained importance as the market becomes increasingly competitive. Today several hundred proud professional musicians and countless passionate musicians belong to the Agner family, a highly creative and avid network.

In 2022, Paul J. Agner passed on the drumstick after more than 40 successful years and handed over the company to a capable business duo. Markus Schwaiger and Christoph Gassner are not only experienced entrepreneurs but passionate musicians who lead AGNER DRUMSTICKS into a new future.

Paul J. Agner is still active in the company and supervises the production process to ensure the well-known quality standard of AGNER DRUMSTICKS. By creating and striving for perfect products, AGNER DRUMSTICKS, as a traditional company, fulfils the wishes of all ambitious drummers again and again.
